KSRA CLINIC REQUEST PROCESS

Entry Level Clinics - approved 16-19 hour classes are only held during January, February, March, July, and August.  Classes held during January, February, and March WILL REQUIRE recertification later that year.  Classes held during July and August will satisfy license requirements for the remainder of that year plus the following year.

Recertification Clinics - approved 5-hour classes are only held during November and December prior to the year of certification.

The KSRA routinely schedules USSF Entry Level Clinics and Recertification Clinics in each of its four districts. These are generally twice yearly and are located in the metropolitan areas.  If a local affiliate desires to host an Entry Level Clinic or a Recertification Clinic in its area they may apply to the KSRA District Referee Administrator.  The request must provide a Local Contact Person, suitable location, a Primary Date and a Secondary Date.  The District Administrator will make the necessary scheduling decisions.

The District Referee Administrator for:
District 1 is: Larry Brown and may be contacted at (859) 282-0222,
District 2 is: Robert Argo and may be contacted at (859) 533-2551,
District 3 is: Billy Way and may be contacted at (502) 241-9414, and
District 4 is: John Rufli and may be contacted at (270) 522-4916.

The purpose of the following procedure is to provide an incentive to the hosting affiliate to do the work necessary to host a successful clinic.  This work would involve appropriate advertising and communicating with potential attendees.  Hopefully, this procedure is never required, but, history has shown that great intentions sometimes result in less than desirable results.

By officially requesting a clinic, a local affiliate is then considered the clinic's host and is guaranteeing a minimum number of 20 attendees.  To satisfy this commitment, the District Referee Administrator has the option to request that a check payable to KSRA and in the amount of $900 (for Entry-Level) or $700 (for Recertification) be submitted in advance.  The District Referee Administrator has the option to not schedule the clinic until the check is received.  KSRA will then hold the check until the day of the clinic.

If the class size is 20 or more students, the District Referee Administrator will return the check to the hosting affiliate within 2 weeks.  If the class size is less than 20 students, the affiliate will create an adjusting check for the difference of the minimum of twenty students minus the number of actual attendees.  This shall be computed by using $45 for all Entry Level and $35 for all Recertification clinics.  The new check shall be delivered to the District Referee Administrator.  Upon reception of the new check, the District Referee Administrator shall return the original check to the hosting affiliate.  If an adjusting check is not received within 30 days of the clinic termination, KSRA shall deposit the original check and consider the matter closed.

The Hosting Affiliate's classroom location will require the following assets:
*  The location should adequately seat approximately 50 attendees.
*  Two Tables for administrative/instructor use are required.
*  Chalkboard or Marker board is required.
*  Television and VCR.
*  Overhead Projector and Picture Screen.
*  Bathroom Facility.
*  Operational Heating/Cooling System.
